1. What application fees are required?

Fees payable to the Canadian federal government:

Skilled Worker/Family Class Principal applicant

Entrepreneur, Self-Employed and Investor Principal applicant

Each accompanying dependent 22 and over, Accompanying Spouse

2. What is the Right of Landing Fee?

In return for the right to obtain permanent resident status in Canada, the Right of Landing Fee is collected. The fee is partial compensation for the many benefits and privileges that permanent resident status confers.

Every person aged 22 and over who applies for permanent resident status, must pay the fee. Each sponsor of a family member aged 22 or over must also pay the Right of Landing Fee on behalf of that dependent family member. Dependents aged 22 or less do not pay this fee.

3. What is Quebec Immigration?

Quebec has an agreement with the Canadian government that they can control their immigration. Therefore, application is made to both the Canadian Federal Government and the Quebec provincial immigration office.

4. Are there other fees or costs?

Besides application/landing fee, you will have to furnish photographs, may need certified copies of some documents for the application, which may involve some cost. When you decide to proceed with the application, Maple International will give you a list of required fees. Maple International will also require a fee for the services provided. Based on the complexity of your case, our service fee may vary .

5. Must I pay in Canadian Dollars?

On cases that are filed in the US, US dollars may be used for payment. Applications overseas are usually paid in Canadian Dollars. Maple International will advise you of the details when you apply.

6. When do I pay the fees?

All government processing fees are paid with submission of the application for permanent residence. The Right of Landing fee may be submitted later, although we generally recommend payment with the application.
